I drilled in the wall of my garden yesterday and tar-like black liquid left. What is it?
We're talking about your wall standard red brick here. All the bricks others tried drilling seemed fine, this was just a brick. Anyone know what this substance can it be?
Hello bitumen could be a moisture-proof-based course is used as a damp proof membrane between two layers of brick so that moisture can not penetrating further up the wall or through the wall you can sometimes see in old houses, when the sun shines and heats the material until you can see little runs the wall in the course is wet, I hope this helps.
