Is there a problem with stainless steel sinks, tile counters.?
My kitchen has a tiled concrete base. The sink is cast, with some hard (ceramic?) coating. I hate the sink with a passion. I missed badly in places and want to replace it. Builders me said that there could be a stainless steel sink, because I have tiled. WHY? What are my options? Good DIY links (and I have Michael Holigans website and video sink replacement). Thank you. To clarify – is the concrete base of 2 (?) Inches thick of concrete, tile slightly pressed to the concrete (no real nozzle used – only the concrete in large gaps between the tiles).
I can not imagine why not. The only problem I can see is if the piece is made of marble, do not use putty as a seal around the edges. It will stain the marble. I installed many sinks stainless tile on countertops.
